For the central installation, I helped with the concept, planning and building of the piece. I made a full model to double-check the lasercut files that would be used to create the shapes out of the plexiglass were correct. As shown in the picture below, I marked out several problem pieces. This helped change the final design of the model which changed it from making it appear as if pieces were cutting through the board, to just abstract shapes built upon each other so there was no concern of losing a piece's mirrored pair.
