The National Bridal Show, an event put on by the Toronto Star for various seasons of the year, is a show that hosts a large number of vendors for weddings. It is attended by couples, their family and friends who are planning a wedding. It is run by the MSM team and some of the assets for the show is designed by the creative service team's designers. For the Fall 2018 show, the show program was designed by one of my colleagues Maham and myself. The show program is given out to attendees at the Bridal Show.

The image header and footer was a style choice I made to add visual interest on pages without detracting from the content itself. It is used throughout most of the show program book, the images varying by spread but staying within the branding with floral imagery and purple colours.

The lilac bands were also part of the branding and I took full advantage of it throughout the pages. 'Top 10 Things to Do at the Show!' was one of the spreads I designed. Every show program had a page devoted to this feature but my design was liked so much a spread was given to showcase it. Instead of listing the top things down in a numbered list like previous show programs, I used a more abstract method, showing the numbers in the number of lilac bands associated with each item on the list. I varied each part to create visual interest but held it within a grid to give it order.

I also volunteered at this particular Bridal Show, greeting guests, preparing and giving away the free welcome bags, collecting contest draw submissions for the wedding checklist featured in the show program and assisting guests with any inquiries they had at the show. The wedding checklist was in the middle and could be easily pulled out to submit in the draw.

Keeping with the lilac bands, I used vertical bands on either side of the categories in the Exhibitor Directory. This was to keep the style throughout the show program but also not to detract from our advertisers' advertisements by keeping the titles elegant but not too fancy.
