Escape the House! Website Story
The purpose of this project was to create a non-linear narrative on a website. Ultimately, I decided to create a 'choose your own adventure' which would demonstrate the 'butterfly effect' - where a choice made in the 'past' would affect the choices in the 'future.' The narrative follows a mouse that fell through a window of a house and got stuck. The goal of the game is to escape the house alive - and if possible leave with a few extra goodies. The experience is from the mouse's point of view and uses a mapping technique for the links in the game, where sections of the image becomes a link to the next part of the story. All the artwork and text I hand drew in order to give it a more personal feel to the website as if the mouse is re-living its escape story. The website utilizes a bootstrap template to make it responsive.
