The Medical Biophysics Career Development Association at the University of Toronto required a new template designed for their Newsletter so that their writers could update and send out Newsletters to their readers at will. Pictured above is the two page template.

Using content from one of their old newsletters I mocked up a new one. Since the content would continuously change, a clean design was required so it would not clash with any content put into it. I kept the design clean, using only black and one colour, so as not to draw away from the content that would be going into the Newsletter. The colour I used was drawn from their logo so the Newsletter would emulate their brand.

I created the template to be flexible, with the ability to add or take away pull out quotes and pictures easily by keeping each piece grouped together with the text flowing around it, filling the space if the quotes or pictures were removed. I also gave every part of the text a pararaph style so everything could be updated quickly and easily with a click of a button.
