Before Metroland's most recent rebranding, Metroland Media Toronto existed as a separate subsection of Metroland. I was asked to create a gift certificate, the front containing the dollar amount as well as who it was given from and to who it would be given to, the back containing all the logos of the papers from Metroland Media Toronto and their address.

As Metroland is primarily known for their community papers I used a newspaper overlaying an image of Toronto, showing not only the area their papers cover but their impact and special uniqueness of being tailored to each community. The soft edges, and cloudy white presence over the the bright city shows it's gentle, positive but integral part it plays in shaping and being shaped by the city it encompasses.
