One of the sales representatives at Metroland requested a spec advertisement for Oceans, Nations and Grants grocery stores (all affiliated under the same company) as a key part of a sales pitch to get them to sponsor for us. He wanted a map showing where all their stores are in Mississauga, their logos and the slogan 'Get Fresh Mississauga.'

I created three versions: the first having a more traditional map form, the next two as a more abstract map, shaped like waves, emulating waves such as the name of the parent store, Oceans. I used parts of their logos to represent their presence on the map so they wouldn't have to be labelled. This makes it easy to understand even at a small size.
